Françoise Webb was born and raised in Paris, France. Although she studied performing arts and foreign languages, fine arts were always a part of her upbringing. Following a career in teaching for many years, she discovered the creative world of Plein Air painting. She picked up an easel and some oil paints and set out for the great outdoors. In her studio, she often uses acrylic paints. As this medium dries quickly, she gets an emotional thrill as unique and accidental designs appear through overlapping layers. Her preferred subjects are florals, seascapes and golf greens. Her styles range from contemporary impressionism to abstract representational.
